My Journey of Learning A New Skill | Changing The Beliefs
There's always a myth or a belief that stuck in everyone's head that people are born with certain skills and it's the only skills they could maintain and improve. If one couldn't find out any of his skills in childhood, then there is no certain skill he has. This belief is in everyone's head and all are living their whole life inside the bubble.
Even if one tries to learn a new skill they will be quitting it easily after a few failures at the beginning. They also start to believe they don't have a natural skill for it.
There are also some facts, some people really has some ceratin skill even from their childhood, or they were trained well in their childhood. But it's not just as those things are only possible for them.
For a sound-minded adult, any skill can be learned which they were bad at when they are a kid. It's always about true desire and having a mindset to take all efforts to learn it. Nowadays there are online courses for everything, one could learn anything.
Patience is one of the most important things in it, a fact is that nothing will be easy for a beginner. Quitting it after a few tries are not an option, we need a mindset to learn from it. I always tried to learn things by making it a routine. At first, the learning time will be less, but eventually, it increases.
There's also a thing that's needed to be checked, it's asking the question to one's self that "Why I want to do it?".
I think everyone doesn't have those cliche divine passion, as a reason. For some it's the need to get a job, it's also a pretty good reason. If these little things are clear then there will be no need for confusion in the middle.
Sometimes it's just to learn some new skill. We only have a small life, so why waste time doing boring things when you could improve yourselves. Learning new skills not only makes us good at it, but it also improves our brain and thought process.
Learning new skill sets creates a solution-oriented mindset, one can think more creatively and freely. It's also about improving as a person, one with sound mentality.
Our knowledge isn't limited to a certain range, we could improvise it according to our needs.
