Visuals Can Be Deceiving

Each one of us interprets the world in different ways, everyone has their own way of seeing things. It's usually according to the memories and experiences we had in life.

That's what magicians usually use to deceive us, They misdirect us with the visuals while they are doing the real thing. There's always a pattern for our way of thinking and they try to manipulate it.

What do you think about this picture above? What's the first thing that comes to your mind? Is she a Bride? What's she doing in this midnight? We all have different stories to tell about ber. It will be according to the last memories you have.

If you are familiar with a story of A Bride who left the Chapel, then maybe this will lead you to that. What if she was leaving the town after killing someone, Share your thoughts in the comments.

That's what always it is, our judgments are always according to the visuals. Knowingly or unknowingly most of the times we judge people with their appearances. It's not a bad habit, that's our default settings—that's the way we have trained our mind from the beginning.

What I do is, when these thoughts based on the appearances come I usually try to ignore. And try to have some real talking, then after talking with one for a few minutes we could deduct some facts about the person.

I remember a dialogue from a Jackie Chan movie Karate Kid,

"You think only with your eyes, so you are easy to fool "

This made an impression on me from the beginning. Use eyes to see things but don't try to accept the visuals as they are, use the brain to understand it.

It's the way most products where marketed also, digital marketing has come this far. Good brands easily find your attention with their graceful visuals. I always try to find out why I clicked on this link or why I liked this photo. It isn't just a random choice. It's more about the impression that visuals created in me.

It's why thumbnails always matter for any content. It isn't a bad thing, it's always a good way to market things. If you have something valuable and you want people's attention to it, this way of deception works. But when you are a customer it's always good to ask the question that

"Am I Being Deceived?"
